The ABC of CFI (Countering Foreign Interference) – Awareness, Balancing the Benefits, and Countering the Adverse Effects of International Collaboration in Research

The SA Chapter of ARMS is pleased to host a forum with speakers exploring the fundamentals of countering foreign interference in research and international collaborations.

Join us for the afternoon on Tuesday 22nd November at 3.00pm for two hours of exploring the current policy and legislative environment for universities and researchers. We will hear from the Department of Home Affairs and people at our local universities who are advising researchers and administrators on what to be aware for, how to balance the benefits and counter the potential problems. When does influence and collaboration become interference?

Come ready with your questions, experiences or to network with your research management colleagues.

The event will be followed by a networking event for all SA ARMS Members. Come for drinks and nibbles at the bar in the Stamford Plaza Hotel 5.00pm to 7.00pm, even if you can’t make the afternoon session.

Registrations close 15 November 2022.

The SA Chapter of ARMS invites all South Australian ARMS members to join them for a catch up on the past year of working in research management and administration, meet the SA Chapter Committee and let us know what you would like in the way of events hosted locally in 2023. The session will be after the in-person session on countering foreign interference scheduled for Tuesday 22nd November at 3pm. So come and share your ideas and celebrate the year that was and the year to come in research management in SA. You can attend both events, or just come for the networking session, up to you!
