Gillian began her career in research management at South Metropolitan Health Service in the Research Ethics and Governance Office reviewing research projects in the areas of both ethics and governance.

 Following this, Gillian worked overseas in the UK in the  higher education sector at Kings College London and genomic research institute Genomics England, focusing on in house research ethics and research management.

 Gillian then returning to Perth, worked at Curtin University in the Research Ethics Office managing both Human and Animal Research Ethics Committees.

 

Currently, Gillian works at Telethon Kids Institute as the Manager of Human Research Ethics and Integrity, managing the research governance team and has the role of the Institute's Designated Officer in research Integrity.

 Gillian has broad knowledge of human and animal research management processes and policy across a range of sectors as well as an interest in streamlining and developing processes to enable and facilitate great quality research.
