About Research, Innovation and Commercialisation

RIC is a specialist team dedicated to enabling the University's research and enterprise mission working closely with our academics, professional colleagues, industry partners, funding agencies and government agencies.  We have a passion to see our academics and their collaboration partners succeed, achieve research excellence and translate their discoveries into real-world innovation and impact.  RIC operates University-wide across all ten Academic Divisions and Chancellery.

About the role

As Research Integrity Officer, you will support a diverse program of activities for education and training, and development of tools and resources to support and enable responsible research practices at the University. Working collaboratively across your team, you will support the successful development, rollout and innovation of initiatives directed at supporting critical research and institutional responsibilities described in relevant codes, guidelines, policies and processes. You will also provide advice or assistance in support of the University’s response to potential research integrity breaches or when contacted by researchers, students, or professional staff of the University.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about supporting research in a higher education setting, with a focus on ensuring its trustworthiness and quality through the application of national and international standards for research integrity. You will bring a business partner approach to supporting project delivery and well-developed communication skills appropriate for a wide range of audiences. Your maturity of judgment and attention to detail will ensure you are able to operate consistently and effectively within policy and process requirements whilst also proactively identifying and contributing to opportunities for process improvement and service delivery excellence.

You will have:

·         Demonstrable knowledge of best practices in the responsible conduct of research

·         Highly developed analytical thinking

·         Proven ability to successfully deliver programs and initiatives supporting organisational goals and objectives

·         Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholder and team focus
