Max Cheung, Centre of AI in Medicine & Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore

Mr Max Cheung currently serves as the Manager (Research & External Affairs) at the Centre of AI in Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He obtained his MSc in Biomedical Data Science from NTU in 2024. His research focuses on responsible AI in medicine, including governance frameworks, trust, and acceptance. Additionally, he managed multiple multinational consensus and roundtable meetings regarding gastroenterology and AI in Medicine. He was awarded with the Best Poster Award at Digestive Disease Week 2022.
Chia Yao An Kendrick, Centre of AI in Medicine, Nanyang Technological University
Kendrick is a Research Associate at the Centre of AI in Medicine (C-AIM) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He holds an MSc in Biomedical Data Science, and his research focuses on understanding the factors that shape AI adoption in healthcare and developing clinically grounded AI tools powered by large language models (LLMs).
Dr Tom Varghese, Orion Health
Tom works on the go-to-market strategy for digital health solutions at Orion Health. His work reflects our focus on driving innovation in population health, prevention, and integrated care. With over 15 years of experience across clinical practice, governance, and digital health leadership, Tom brings a unique combination of medical insight and commercial expertise. After beginning his career as a clinician, he transitioned into healthtech sales and marketing leadership, gaining deep understanding of both provider challenges and opportunities for digital transformation. He currently serves on the board of the Digital Health Association NZ, is a trustee of the Men’s Health Trust, and a member of the Institute of Directors. Tom brings a global perspective to transforming healthcare systems, combining frontline clinical experience with strategic leadership in health technology.
