Director of Operations
Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN)

Leading the Grants & Research sections for a non-government consumer representation body, Tanya is especially passionate about the important work achieved from community-sector research collaborations. Tanya’s career is a mix of the university and NFP sectors, having worked in research-related roles at Macquarie University (HREC support), University of Sydney (research assistance), and ANU (projects & research writing).

Tanya has written, won and delivered large government grants in the international development sector, as well as small community sector grants for various volunteer projects. Tanya oversees ACCAN’s grants distribution on behalf of the federal government as well as the organisation’s commissioned research program. With her experience in the not-for-profit sector, Tanya hopes to bring alternative perspectives and learn from others supporting research in non-traditional spaces.

Tanya is currently Co-Convenor of the NSW Chapter of ARMS and holds a Master of International Affairs from ANU and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from Macquarie University.
