Dr Roy McBurney is Manager, Research Support in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. His first career was as a research scientist studying Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, his PhD focussed on proto-type molecular machines. This was followed by post-doctoral work at Durham, St Andrews, Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities. Roy came to Australia in 2016 at Macquarie University as a Research Fellow. He then decided to move into research support, first in the Research Portfolio at University of Sydney by supporting the ARC Linkage Program and now leading Faculty support. Roy’s team looks after all HDR, research support and development activities for the Faculty.
