Sally has been a research management professional within the higher education sector since 2012. Sally is a senior research administrative officer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, working within a school with a focus on continuous business improvement and supporting researchers. Other roles have included working as a research administrator for a research group, supporting the group in their establishment and building brand and processes, as well as working at faculty-level as a research project officer, focussing on projects that increase business processes and funding potentials.
Prior to 2019, Sally was part of the Graduate Research Office at the University of Canberra.
Before research management, Sally, a trained naturopath, worked in hospitality and wellness management. This included international resort & spa pre-opening projects in the Maldives, Qatar and Thailand.
Sally finds her work in research management rewarding and feels it’s an opportunity to support researchers to achieve their successes. She thrives on the opportunity to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and secure funding that drives innovative research forward.
Sally joins the ACT Chapter Committee as Co-convenor in May 2025.
