ARMS Joins Global Leaders at Research Analytics Summit to Advance Responsible AI and Data Practices

The University of Kentucky’s Research Evaluation and Analytics Capacity Hub (REACH) recently hosted the third annual Research Analytics Summit from April 19–21, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island. The event brought together more than 215 participants and over 100 speakers from across the global research community to advance research analytics, data-informed decision making and responsible evaluation practices, with a strong focus on emerging AI technologies.

The summit supported REACH’s mission to strengthen analytics capability across research institutions through interactive workshops and sessions. A key highlight was the release of a Joint Statement on Responsible Data Analytics, Evaluation and AI, developed in collaboration with leading international professional associations, including the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS).

As a signatory, ARMS is contributing to global leadership in responsible research analytics and evaluation. The joint statement outlines shared principles for ethical data governance, responsible AI use and strategic investment in analytics capability, reinforcing the importance of building an equitable, transparent and future-ready research ecosystem.
