Naila Yaqoob has been a member of ARMS Tas Chapter committee since 2022 and currently works as the Manager, Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer within UTAS InVent, Research Division. In this role, she supports researchers and the University across a broad range of intellectual property, commercialisation and research contracting matters, helping to navigate IP ownership, compliance and technology transfer processes.

With a background in chemistry and experience in research administration, Naila works closely with researchers, professional staff and external partners on patents, trademarks, licensing arrangements and industry collaborations. She enjoys providing practical guidance to help researchers understand and manage IP considerations throughout the research lifecycle.
