Are you looking for opportunities to fast track your research management career?

ARMS now invites applications for Research Management Professionals at the mid-senior level to participate in the next round of the Established Level Accreditation Program (ELAP).

APPLICATIONS CLOSE Tuesday 10 October 2023

Are you an experienced research management professional at the mid-to-senior level, looking to enhance your leadership, management, and content-related skills to excel as a more effective research leader? If so, we invite you to consider the ARMS Established Level Accreditation Program (ELAP) in 2023.

The ELAP is designed to meet the diverse needs of Research Management Professionals. While certain foundational knowledge and skills are essential, the program recognises the importance of providing specialised expertise to cater for individual roles.

The ELAP has been structured with you own personal education, training and development journey in mind.  Participants can select from a range of mandatory and optional components that can be taken over a three (3) year period.

Full details are available on the ARMS website and a brief summary is provided below.

The program utilises a points-based system, enabling the acknowledgment of prior learning and formal education obtained from sources external to ARMS (subject to specific criteria). Did you also know that those individuals that have been accredited at the Foundation Level will automatically receive 25 points credited towards their ELAP progress? This allocation constitutes 25% of the total 100 points required for program completion and is classified as assessed points.

Elements

The three (3) compulsory elements encompass:

     1.   a Leadership, Management and Strategic Thinking Program;
     2.  three (3) content specific Electives; and
     3.  nine (9) hours of group learning opportunities.

Additionally, participants are required to complete:

     4.  other ARMS assessed programs (e.g., FLAP); and
     5.  other non-assessed programs including those outside of ARMS.

Upcoming Electives

  • Due Diligence and Governance Considerations
