PD Sessions @ Zoom: From Auckland to the Andes: Building a Cross-Border Partnership for Research Engagement and Impact
In this session, Faith will share the story of the emerging partnership between Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, and Universidad de los Andes in Chile - a collaboration built on a shared commitment to research engagement and impact.
Drawing on visits, deep conversations and knowledge-sharing that stretched us across very different research ecosystems, she’ll explore how context, policy, and culture shape the way we develop cross-institutional relationships and think about innovation, open science, and impact. And with the help of a slightly tortured bridge metaphor, she’ll reflect on what it really takes to sustain meaningful international partnerships that advance capability, reciprocity, and real-world change.
