Module 4.2: Research Integrity - 09 June 2026

This module will:
- Focus on the principles that underpin the policies, processes, and procedures that govern responsible conduct of research.
- Look at the ways in which research management professionals relate to research integrity and what to do if faced with a research integrity challenge.
- Cover how research management professionals can play a role in strengthening an organisation’s culture of research integrity.
This module covers:
- The principles of research integrity
- The theory and practice of the responsible conduct of research
- The cultures of research integrity and how these are built and assessed
- Processes for investigating breaches of research integrity and allegations of research misconduct
- The importance of research integrity for research management professionals
- The emerging international Responsible Conduct of Research Codes, the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research
- Institutional requirements of education, implementation, compliance and monitoring.
Case studies provide opportunities for participants to discuss how responsible research practices can be implemented and how research management professionals might contribute to good cultures rather than being seen as playing merely a compliance role.

- Research integrity;
- Principles of research integrity;
- Theory and practices of the responsible conduct of research;
- Cultures of research integrity and how these are built and assessed;
- Processes of investigating allegations of research misconduct; and
- The importance of research managers for research integrity.

Cancellation Policy
Should your circumstances change, and you are unable to attend this workshop, you must contact ARMSAccreditation@researchmangement.org.au by no later than 10 working days prior to the commencement of the scheduled event. ARMS will refund the full registration fee minus any administrative fees.
Should you cancel less than 10 working days prior to the commencement of this workshop, no refund will be payable but instead you may wish to send a proxy.
ARMS reserve the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses and events due to minimum numbers not being reached or for other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, ARMS will aim to advise all participants in writing five (5) days prior to the scheduled event and will refund the full registration fee including administrative charges within 30 days after notification.
