VIC Chapter Event: ARMS EoY Networking Event - 19 Nov 2025

We are hosting our ARMS Victorian Chapter End of Year Networking Drinks event at the Berlin Bar on Wednesday, 03 December from 5.30-8pm.  

Berlin Bar is a historical 1950s East/West Berlin themed bar, tucked behind a secret side door in the CBD. Once you ring the doorbell and the waiter lets you inside, you can choose to sit in either the Communist “East” or Capitalist “West” themed parts of the venue. The East side has rustic bunker-style decor, dim lighting and Soviet portraits. The West side has posh leather couches, lavish salon decor and sparkling chandeliers. You can move throughout the night to experience both sides of the “iron wall”.

We will be offering German craft beer, sparkling wine, basic spirits and more, with canapes provided. For those adventurous, you can also opt to purchase their signature cocktails, such as the “John F Kennedy”, “Mercury 13” and “Aleksei Leonov”. 

In terms of location, the venue is a short walking distance from Melbourne Centre and Flinders Street train stations, as well as from Swanston St and Elizabeth St trams and buses. The venue is accessible by stairs only, with the entrance off Corrs Lane (near Little Bourke St). 

The dress code is formal / cocktail style in line with the venue policy. Strictly NO casual jeans and runners.

ARMS CANCELLATION POLICY

Should your circumstances change, and you are unable to attend this workshop, you must contact ARMSMembership@researchmanagement.org.au by no later than 10 working days prior to the commencement of the scheduled event. ARMS will refund the full registration fee minus any administrative fees.

Should you cancel less than 10 working days prior to the commencement of this workshop, no refund will be payable but instead you may wish to send a proxy.

ARMS reserve the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses and events due to minimum numbers not being reached or for other unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of a cancellation, ARMS will aim to advise all participants in writing five (5) days prior to the scheduled event and will refund the full registration fee including administrative charges within 30 days after notification.
