TAS Chapter Event: Co-hosted quiz night with Research Division Social Club - 20 Nov

Join the ARMS Tasmania Chapter and UTAS Research Division Social Club for their 2025 Quiz Night! The Return of Quiz Night promises to be an evening of trivia, food and friendly (or not-so-friendly) competition that you won’t want to miss!

Step 2 - add your name to the 2025 Quiz Night spreadsheet that will be sent to you under separate cover. Your name on the spreadsheet is your Quiz Night registration.

Ideally 6-8 people per table (this will be your Quiz Team, so choose wisely!)

FACILITATOR:

Mr Jason Hofman - University of Tasmania

Jason Hofman, Manager Research Excellence, you may call him His Excellency, grew from the over-achieving little Dutch boy next door to become the master of his domain in Research Performance and Analysis. He’ll be swapping spreadsheets for the spotlight as your host for the ARMS Tasmania Chapter and UTAS Research Division Social Club 2025 Quiz Night. When he’s not wrangling metrics or maintaining the majesty of research integrity, Jason moonlights as a trivia titan and dad joke sommelier. Expect sharp wit, questionable puns, and a quiz night that’s as entertaining as it is intellectually dangerous. Buckle up—The Hof’s got the mic, and no outcome is a safe bet.

Light platters and a welcome drink provided. Additional food and beverage available for purchase. We look forward to celebrating 2025 and to testing your detailed knowledge retention. See you soon!

ARMS CANCELLATION POLICY

Should your circumstances change, and you are unable to attend this workshop, you must contact ARMSMembership@researchmanagement.org.au by no later than 10 working days prior to the commencement of the scheduled event. ARMS will refund the full registration fee minus any administrative fees.

Should you cancel less than 10 working days prior to the commencement of this workshop, no refund will be payable but instead you may wish to send a proxy.

ARMS reserve the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses and events due to minimum numbers not being reached or for other unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of a cancellation, ARMS will aim to advise all participants in writing five (5) days prior to the scheduled event and will refund the full registration fee including administrative charges within 30 days after notification.

*Please note that upon registration your name and organisation will be provided to the chapter convenor or event organiser, to record attendance and manage the event.
