From the UK university sector to managing major funding portfolios across Australian universities and medical research institutes, this talk reflects on lessons from a 22-year career in research management. Now working in a professional services firm since 2025, I partner with industry and university clients nationwide to secure state and federal research funding and will share practical tips for writing successful industry grants on the other side of the coin alongside an overview of key Federal Government programs relevant to industry.
