ARTN Event - Research Security and Due Diligence in HDR - 28 October 2026

Join us for an upcoming session on Research Security and Due Diligence in HDR.
As HDR professional staff, we are all grappling with the ever-evolving risks and compliance requirements around research security and foreign interference. In this webinar we’ll focus on the research training related issues we are all regularly facing: admissions project and applicant assessment screening, international and industry partnership due diligence (including for external supervision), and risk management for inbound and outbound HDR mobility.
We’ve lined up a diverse panel who will give examples of how their institutions are approaching these challenges - what’s worked, and what hasn’t. You’ll come away with ideas to test, tools to tighten safeguards, and a sense of where to prioritise your efforts. Bring your questions — there’ll be time for an open Q&A to discuss the challenges you’re dealing with right now.
Panel Members
- Dr Scott Willoughby - Chief Security Officer at Adelaide University
- Lindsay Guy - Director, Monash Graduate Research Office
- Katie Gamble - Director, Strategy & Planning, Macquarie University
Host/Facilitator
- Dr Mark Gregory, University of Melbourne
- Tracy Sullivan, Executive Director of the Australian Council of Graduate Research (ACGR)
